           画家李玄,本名李玉智,祖籍北京,生于1941年7月1日。少年懞懂时期就立志要做达芬奇,他一生与画为伴,他的艺术创作涉及范围极广,国画、油画、水彩画、版画, 雕塑…… 是不可多得的艺术全才。 

       1960年,被当时美术工厂的总负责人任命为总设计师,并称赞他为“我所见过最有才华的年轻艺术家!”

       1964年,他经过自身努力进入太原日报社工作,他的才华得到充分展示。几乎每天的报纸上都刊登着他的作品,有油画,国画,水彩,以及连环画、漫画、雕塑、和各种宣传海报。作品多次获奖,他先后参加过十几次大型展会活动,还有一组表现工人阶级的群塑,成为整个活动中最亮眼的部分,至今还保留着当时照片。

       70年代初,进入太原市建工局工作,创办《建工报》。 发表了大量绘画、摄影作品   。                         

       1986年,进入太原市古建队工作。参与设计古建筑与壁画修筑相关工作。  

        改革开放以后,随着收入的提高,他更加勤奋地埋头作画。 

        1990年李玄先生开创了自己的画室,在随后的20多年,他都沉浸在探究西方和东方艺术的完美融合当中。他将一生的思考与积淀通过绘画展现给世人,在绘画意念和色彩表达上大胆突破,其色彩和光的处理变换莫测,将西方艺术对心灵的探索与东方艺术对意境的追求完美融合在一起,是中西方哲学思想的视觉表现。他的作品既有东方画笔技巧的柔和及透明感,又有⻄方鲜明大胆的色彩运用,历经几十年最终形成了具有世界性的绘画新语境。

同时在这20多年的时间里作品被国内画商多次收藏, 最多的一次,一位画商收藏了将近20件作品。

        李玄先生逝世于2011年3月17日。 享年70岁。

        2017年李玄先生的女儿李利女士在温哥华创建了True Colour Art Gallery,推广宣传李玄先生的作品,画廊于2018年1月在温哥华北岸最为繁华的商业区正式开业,开业以来得到专业人士的肯定,作品被众多来自不同国家的藏家收藏。

 

        2018年4月,李玄先生的作品参加了 ART VANCOUVER (温哥华最大的艺术展览,当年有来自12个国家参展)在位于市中心canada place 举办的大型艺术展览,李玄先生作品引起广泛关注,有两幅作品现场被藏家收藏!。

        2018年6月本色画廊联合Art Vancouver 举办联展,李玄先生作品的独特魅力感染着每一位来宾!吸引多位来自中国的高端藏家!同月作品《星空》被藏家收藏。    

        2018年9月,李玄先生一幅最为珍贵的作品——完成于作者生日当天的作品《苍穹》被藏家收藏,此次收藏引起国内多家媒体关注并转载。

        2018年12月,李玄先生个人展与分享讲座,大量新作品在本色展出,无论在华人圈还是当地艺术圈,李玄的画风引起广泛关注,多家媒体报道和转载。

        2018年12月,华人收藏家先后收藏李玄先生作品:《生命之初》和《梦之三峡》 

       2018年12月底,李玄先生个人艺术作品展于本色画廊展出,众多资深藏家对作品的独特艺术语言所震撼。大家都对作品展现的’神“性产生共鸣。

     

       2019年4月,李玄先生的湖之系列作品中最为珍贵的一幅被来自华人收藏家所收藏。

       2019年6月31日,李玄先生春季画展在温哥华举办,主办方邀请藏家携作品参展,作品《苍穹》震撼人心。华人主流媒体凤凰卫视全程报道。

      2019年7月,李玄先生作品《旷》国内华人藏收藏。

      2019年10月,李玄先生作品《旋》温哥华 华人藏家收藏。

      2020年4月,作家陈春澜《画家李玄的痴狂人生》发表于中国国家期刊《名作欣赏》于2020年11期。

 李玄  1941- 2011

Li Xuan 1941-2011

1941 Li Xuan was born in Beijing, China. His works mainly integrate traditional Chinese Eastern ink wash painting with Western methods of art-making such as oil, acrylic, and watercolor.


1956 Li Xuan was admitted into the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing.
1963 He was named Chief Design Officer of the Craft Art Museum of Shanxi by the museum then-director, who praised Li Xuan as the most gifted young artist I have ever seen.

1967 Li Xuan worked at the Taiyuan Daily, a newspaper based in Taiyuan, the capital of Shanxi province in Northern China. His works include oil paintings, ink paintings, watercolor, comics, posters, sculptures and so on, many of which won awards.
1970s Li Xuan worked at the construction bureau in Taiyuan. At the same time, he published large numbers of paintings and photography.
1986 The artist worked in Taiyuan ancient architecture group.

1990 The artist opened his own studio. In the next 20 years, he would immerse himself in the study of incorporating Chinese art with Western aesthetic elements such as the bold usage of color. Subsequently, his works began to be noticed by Chinese art collectors. One collector acquired 20 of Li Xuan‘s works in a single deal.


2011 Li Xuan passed away at the age of 70.


January 2017 Li Xuan’s daughter Lili established the True Colour Art Gallery in Vancouver, Canada in order to promote her father‘s works. The gallery opened in 2018 in North Vancouver. Since the galleryâ€TMs opening, Li Xuan’s works have been acquired by art collectors around the world.

April 2018 Li Xuan‘s works were exhibited in ART VANCOUVER (the largest art fair in Vancouver with participants from 12 countries in 2018) held at Canada Place. Li Xuan’s works caught the attention of the public, and his works were acquired by art collectors on the spot.
June 2018 True Colours Art Gallery collaborated with Art Vancouver on a group exhibition, attracting high-profile art collectors from China. In the same month, his work Starry was acquired by an art collector.

September 2018 Heaven, one of the most valuable paintings by Li Xuan, was acquired by an art collector. The acquisition caught the attention of various news media outlets in China.
December 2018 Solo art exhibition in Vancouver. Li Xuan‘s works continue to impress experienced art collectors.
